The 'Island of Women' is a short ferry ride from the north side of our island. In "Isla" you will find beautiful quiet beaches, snorkeling, diving and shopping at the plentiful and colorful flea markets. Isla is known as a "poor mans Cancun" and you can find a lot of bargains.
Ferries leave to Isla Mujeres from the dock on Caracol Beach daily at:
9:00, 11:00 and 1:00 and return at 10:00, 12:00 and 5:00. It is about a 25 minute coast across the multi blue sea and just $15USD return.

Getting to Cozumel island from Cancun is quite easy. You must first take a taxi or a bus to Playa del Carmen - buses run from our down town station in Cancun (Tulum Av. X Uxmal Av) every 15 minutes for about 3USD each person one way. Once there in Playa, the ferries travel across every hour on the hour, you can easily purchase a ticket from several booths by the dock to the right of the bus station, down by the sea when you arrive. Senor Frogs is right there on the dock. The fare is approximately 16USD return each person.

Traveling around Cozumel is easy, you dock in the main area of town right in the midst of shops and restaurants. The Hard Rock Cafe is right there to your left, and Carlos N' Charlie's too. I have not seen a better jewelry selection in any other caribbean island and the island is also very well known for scuba diving and snorkeling. There is a dive shop every few steps and when you arrive you will be approached by many companies offering tours.

Jacques Cousteau called it the number one diving site in the world and there is a dive shop around every ten feet.

There is nothing like it! Spring break begins at the end of February and lasts until the final days of March. Hundreds of thousands of students fro all over the USA come here to go 'loco' for a while.

"Playa" has been booming for the last five years. The Blue Parrot is everyone's favorite bar still with its famous 'swings' and the ocean and Fifth Avenue pedestrian walkway are still calling tourist from all over the world to become residents. You will see signs in German, Italian and French in many places. There are always new hotels coming up and the continual construction of new restaurants and bars. Its the fastest growing city in all of Mexico.
You can get to Playa del Carmen from the bus station in downtown Cancun. The buses leave every 15 minutes and usually by the time you get to your seat on the bus it is time to go. The ride is 50 minutes long, the buses clean and air conditioned, many feature movies, and the cost is just $3.50USD one way.

Xcaret (pronounced: 'esh-caret") Is the only park of its kind in Mexico
not the (if not the world!) and has activities for all ages and for all interests.

They have horseback riding, scuba diving, snorkeling, underwater rivers, turtles, flamingos, butterflies, jaguars, dolphins to swim with, shows, Mayan centers, shopping and restaurants. Xcaret is an all day experience. The cost is 48USD for adults at the entrance of the park. Xcaret is located one hour away from Cancun.

Cenotes, or sink holes, abound in the riviera Maya, we only have underground rivers in the Yucatan Peninsula. Divers explore them with enthusiasm, and you can to! But we really recommend snorkeling in them, especially the Grand Cenote, near Tulum, pictured here.
The transparent water, the stalagtites and stalagmites give you an 'other world' type experience that you are not likely to forget.

Turtles!
Oooooh, I love turtles!! Enormous 400 pound turtles lay their eggs right in front of our resort during the months of May and June and the little baby turtles are protected by our support fences until they hatch...then the security guards help them to get to the ocean safely, you can help too, if you are here.
